The date night game for couples You pick the dates. They pick the date.
You fill 20 envelopes with date ideas. They pick one to keep, open the rest round by round and turn down the Dealer's offers. Whatever is in their envelope at the end is your next date.
You pay $3.99 only when you send it. Replays are free and reshuffled.
Plays on the TV, a laptop, a tablet or a phoneNothing to install
"What do you want to do tonight?"
"I don't mind, you choose."
One of you always ends up planning. With this, you write the list and they make the choice, live, one wax seal at a time. Nobody can say they didn't pick it.
Put it on the TV. Watch them play.
Send the link, or don't: open it on the living room TV, hand them the phone or the laptop and sit back. You get to see their face when the Dealer rings, and hear the NO DATE.
Mirror a phone or tablet, or plug in a laptop. Keep your own phone free to film it.
How the game plays
Four rounds, about ten minutes, on whatever screen is closest.
-
1Pick
They choose one of 20 sealed envelopes. It goes on their pedestal, unopened, for the whole game.
-
2Eliminate
Four rounds of cracking seals. Every date they open is a date that is no longer in their envelope.
-
3Resist
After rounds 1, 2 and 3 the Date Dealer rings with an offer you wrote. DATE ends the game. NO DATE burns the offer.
-
4Reveal
Stick with their envelope or swap it for the last one. The final seal breaks, and that is the date you go on.
Open an envelope
This is the small version. The real game has 20, a Dealer, and sound.
Go on, pick one.

The phone rings. DATE, or NO DATE?
Three times a game the Date Dealer calls with an offer you wrote: a tempting date, right now, for their envelope. If they take it, the game ends there, and their own envelope opens to show what they gave up. If they don't, the offer goes up in flames.

Questions
What is DateOrNoDate?
A date night game for couples that you send as a link. You fill 20 envelopes with date ideas (we suggest every one of them), and your partner plays on a TV, laptop, tablet or phone: they pick a mystery envelope, eliminate the rest, deal with the Date Dealer's offers and reveal the date you'll go on together. It costs $3.99, once.
Do I have to come up with 20 date ideas?
No. Tell us what you two like and we fill all 20 envelopes, plus the Dealer's 3 offers, from 199 ideas in four tiers: Sweet, Lovely, Dreamy and Perfect. Swap any you don't love, browse the list, or write your own.
Can we play it on the TV?
Yes, and it's the best way to watch them play. Open the link on a laptop connected to the TV, or mirror your phone or tablet to it (AirPlay, Chromecast or your TV's screen mirroring). The game fills the screen in landscape, sound included.
Does my partner need to download an app or sign up?
No. They open the link in a browser and play. No app, no account, no email. Only you, the creator, have an account, so you can find your games and every result.
How much does it cost?
Building your game and playing a preview is free. Sending it costs $3.99, one time. No subscription. Every replay reshuffles the envelopes, so you can play it again and again.
Is it cheesy?
A little, on purpose. There's a ringing phone, wax seals that crack, a drum roll before the last reveal. People shout NO DATE at their screen. It plays like a video game, not a greeting card.
What if they win a date we can't afford?
You write or approve every date, so keep them real. Perfect is the jackpot, but it's yours to define: a weekend away, or the restaurant from your first date. Whatever they reveal is the date you plan next.
Is it private?
Game links are private and kept out of search engines. You can lock a game with a 4 to 6 digit PIN, so only someone with the PIN can play. Results are emailed only to you.
What devices does it work on?
Recent iPhones and Android phones, iPads and Android tablets, Mac and Windows laptops, and any TV you can mirror or plug a laptop into. It uses 3D graphics, so very old phones may struggle; the free demo is the quickest way to check.
Can I change the dates after I pay?
No. The envelopes are locked once you send the game, so check them in the free preview first. Want a different set? Make a new game.
